Aviation Safety

NOAA is committed to the safe operation of its aircraft and to those who fly on them.

NOAA's Aviation Safety Program supports both the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center and NOAA's Commercial Aviation Services Program with policy and guidance based on government and industry standards to support our Risk Management, Safety Assurance, and Safety promotion programs. The Aircraft Operations Center maintains an IBAC/IS-BAO Stage 3 certification to support our safe operations.

NOAA is committed to the safe operation of its aircraft and to those who fly on them. For more information, NOAA's Aviation Safety Policy is codified by NOAA Administrative Order 209-124. Information for NOAA personnel who use NOAA aircraft and those operated by other agencies is available on the OMAO Intranet. (NOAA username and password required.)
