Small Boat Safety Lessons Learned
A summary of incidents occuring aboard NOAA small boats, to be used by the community as Lessons Learned. This document will be updated montly, and covers Fiscal Year 2016.
On 29 April 2015, while changing operators, the boat drifted out of the channel and over a rock jetty.
On October 31, 2012, at approximately 0800, a member of the NOAA Dive Center aboard the M/V Dinsmore observed the 18ft. Sea Ark listing heavily to starboard. The boat had a pitch angle of about 15° - 20° degrees down by the stern.
